Shinto Shrine📍 Nagano, Japan
Togakushi Shrine
戸隠神社
Togakushi Shrine comprises five shrines rising up a sacred mountain in Nagano, linked to the myth of the heavenly rock cave: the mountain is said to be the door hurled from the cave where the sun goddess hid. The avenue of centuries-old giant cedars leading to the upper shrine is unforgettable, and the area is famed for soba noodles.
