Shinto Shrine📍 Tokyo, Japan
Yasukuni Shrine
靖国神社
Yasukuni Shrine in central Tokyo commemorates Japan's war dead from the late nineteenth century onward. Its broad approach passes a massive steel torii and statue-lined avenue, and the grounds hold the Yushukan war museum. The shrine's cherry trees include the official specimen used to declare the start of Tokyo's blossom season.
