Sumiyoshi Taisha
住吉大社
Sumiyoshi Taisha in Osaka is the head shrine of Japan's Sumiyoshi shrines, dedicated to deities protecting seafarers. Its four main sanctuaries, built in the ancient sumiyoshi-zukuri style predating Buddhist influence, are National Treasures, and the steeply arched vermilion Sorihashi bridge is an Osaka icon.
