Minatogawa Shrine
湊川神社
Minatogawa Shrine in central Kobe enshrines Kusunoki Masashige, the fourteenth-century warrior revered as the epitome of loyalty, on the site where he fell at the Battle of Minatogawa. Affectionately called 'Nanko-san' by locals, it is a popular place for New Year visits and prayers for sincerity and success.
